Job Experience
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an OTC Brand Ambassador, you will play a crucial role in promoting NeilMed’s nasal, sinus, allergy, (and piercing aftercare) products within hospital settings. Your primary responsibilities will include engaging with healthcare professionals such as physicians, physician assistants, pharmacists, and nurse practitioners to educate them about our products and drive sales growth. You will also demonstrate NeilMed products at healthcare industry trade shows held in major metropolitan areas and at smaller meetings in resorts. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong communication skills, a persuasive sales approach, and a solid understanding of the OTC pharmaceutical landscape. This role may require up to 30% travel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sales and Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including hospital staff, physicians, and pharmacists.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features of our OTC pharmaceutical products.
- Focus on hospitals in order to drive sales.
- Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, market activity, and customer interactions.
- Trade shows and Events:
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences and events, promoting our products and engaging with potential customers and partners (nurses and buyers).
- Transport, assemble and disassemble booth display, promotional materials, and product samples for trade shows.
- Participate in post-show evaluations to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies and lead generation efforts.
- Travel Requirements:
- Up to 30% of time may be required, both domestically and internationally, to attend trade shows and/or industry events and to meet with clients.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing team to create effective marketing strategies and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with the product development team to gather insights and feedback from customers, ensuring our offerings meet market needs.
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in OTC pharmaceutical sales.
- Strong knowledge of the healthcare industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and viable transportation to call on healthcare professionals.
- Must be able to travel by plane without restrictions on a regular basis.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays as needed.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and use a step stool to reach top of display booths.
- Professional attire is required (suit and tie for malea, suit for females).
- Proficient in using Microsoft 365, CRM software and other sales tools.
- Availability for a one-week training/onboarding period in Northern California.
