Job Description

NeilMed Pharmaceuticals is a family owned and operated global company headquartered in Santa Rosa, CA, that holds the leadership brand position for saline and nasal care products worldwide.

We are looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Manager responsible for NeilMed and NeilMed owned brands, organic social presence including strategy, content planning, creative execution, multi-platform management and monitoring. This role will own the end-to-end social process inclusive of creating lo-fi, trend-driven content that amplifies the brand voice and builds authentic connections with our audience. You’ll play a key role in driving our brand’s cultural relevancy and follower growth through engaging content, sponsored stories/ads and visuals, with the ability to maneuver in a fast-paced environment.

This role reports to the Director, Web & Digital Marketing. In this role you’ll be the leader of an amazing team of brand reputation and global social engagement specialists. This team is responsible for creating, delivering, and monitoring content across owned & earned social platforms, to engage, educate, respond to, and support our current and future NeilMed and NeilMed owned brands communities.

This role requires a flexible work schedule, combining on-site presence with some remote work, based out of our Santa Rosa, CA office and supporting our global social media team.

Job Experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, bench marking, messaging and audience identification
  • Research audience preferences and discover current trends
  • Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new products
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
  • Create consistent and engaging social media content (text, image and video) and ad campaigns to increase customer interaction and the company’s on-line presence
  • Report on online reviews and feedback from customers and fans
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
  • Measure social media traffic, monitor SEO, track the success of ad campaigns and daily content
  • Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries, review user comments and posts in a quick and courteous manner
  • Oversee global social media accounts’ layout and collaborate with global team
  • Suggest new ways to attract prospective customers, like promotions and competitions
  • Knowledge of social media engagement and listening tools e.g. Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Meltwater, etc. is a plus

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a social media coordinator or manager
  • Expertise in multiple social media platforms to produce on-time quality deliverables in a deadline-driven environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
  • Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
  • BS degree in Marketing, New media or relevant field
  • Background in exploring online sales channel & well versed in optimizing online user experience
  • Should be a motivated self-starter, process-oriented with high attention to detail
